Required Training to Prevent Misconduct (Oct 12, 1:00 – 3:00p)

Good Shepherd is offering  Prevention of Adult Sexual Misconduct, which includes Prevention of Elder Abuse, on Thursday October 12, 1:00-3:00p. You are required to attend if you are:

  • Clergy
  • Full and part-time staff members
  • Pastoral leaders
  • Licensed catechists who teach adults
  • Lay Eucharistic visitors who take communion to homes, hospitals, nursing homes, and other facilities
  • Volunteers (such as ESOL teachers) who teach adults at times other than Sunday morning
  • Vestry members
  • Outreach leaders and members of groups that perform or work with adults off-site

Certifications are valid for ten years, and these classes may be used as renewal courses. Kathy Moore is certified by the Diocese to conduct the training. Contact Kathy to register and receive your handouts.  These courses are also open to anyone interested in learning how to prevent misconduct.
